Boiled Maine Lobster is our first and foremost menu item. With four giant tanks filled with cold ocean water straight from the Atlantic, we are truly a classic lobster pound. OARWEED lobster is simply perfect. Everyday we serve the best of Maine with sweet drawn butter.
Chowder is New England and our two chowders are grand. Our seafood chowder has a broth that is creamy, sweet and buttery with lobster, haddock, shrimp and clams. The clam chowder is classic and thick; a true pleaser. We serve that hot in a cup or bowl and “to go” in pint and quart.
It wouldn’t be summer without an Oarweed Rum Punch, this being our favorite treat. The rum punch is heavy on the pineapple and light on the grapefruit but really bottomed and topped by rum. The dark rum floater is a “vacation” capper.
Take the OGUNQUIT/YORK exit - number 7 (the last exit before toll) toward US-1. Go right off the ramp to the first set of lights. At the lights, turn left onto US-1. Continue north on US-1 for about 7 miles. Continue past the Ogunquit Playhouse, which will be on your right, and take the next right onto Bourne Lane. At the end of the street, take a right onto Shore Road. Continue down Shore Road and bear to the left when you see the sign for Perkins Cove. The Oarweed is just down the street on your left. Free parking for the Oarweed is before the restaurant entrance...don't miss it!
